Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

The paper sent to our redaction will be considered for publication if meeting the following criteria:

  1. Any articles submitted in this journal should be scientific (research articles), original, and have not been published and/or sent to any journal or media. The author should sign the statement letter that strengthens this issue by confirming the submission checklist.
  1. The article's content relates to the focus and scope of Jurnal Ruhul Islam. The translation of a manuscript is not accepted.
  2. The manuscript is written in Indonesian or English, which fulfills the criteria of excellent and correct writing.
  3. The article's length is around 3000 to 6.000 words with 1,5 space, typed in MS-Word, with Times New Roman font size 12 on A4 paper (the margin for right, left, top, and down is 2 cm).
  4. Due to the blind review policy, the author must remove any trace of identification such as name(s) and e-mail address in the submitted manuscript file.
  5. The author submits the manuscript through the Jurnal Ruhul Islam OJS portal and confirms to e-mail ……. by attaching the author's short biography and statement of article originality.
  6. The abstract should:
    1. Written in Indonesia and English.
    2. Provides a synopsis of the entire article.
    3. Starts with the broad context of the study, followed by specific background for the study.
    4. Describes the purpose, methods and procedures, core findings and results, and conclusions of the study.
    5. Emphasizes new or essential aspects of the study.
    6. Be understandable to a diverse audience (avoid using jargon).
    7. Be a single paragraph of fewer than 200 words.

Not contain citations or uncommon abbreviations.

Bibliographical Example:

  • It includes references by the following format below: Djamarah, Saiful Bahri. Guru dan Anak Didik dalam Interaksi Edukatif. Jakarta: Rineka Cipta, 2002. 

Footnote Example:

  • It includes references by the following format below: Saiful Bahri Djamarah, Guru dan Anak Didik dalam Interaksi Edukatif (Jakarta: Rineka Cipta, 2002), 12-14.
  1. The paper will be reviewed and edited without changing any substantial content.
  2. The transliterated paper must be based on the transliterating rules.
  3. The rejected paper will be notified to the author via email.
