POTENSI PENGOBATAN KOMPLEMENTER-ALTERNATIF UNTUK MENINGKATKAN LAYANAN PSIKOLOG KLINIS DALAM PENGOBATAN TERINTEGRASI

Psikolog klinis merupakan profesi yang telah diakui sejak tahun 2008 melalui peraturan menteri negara. Dalam peraturan tersebut dijelaskan bahwa psikolog klinis memberi layanan yang mencakup promosi, preventif, kuratif, rehabilitasi dan pelatihan untuk meningkatkan derajat kesehatan psikologis sebagai bagian dari kesehatan manusia. Jumlah psikolog klinis di Indonesia pada tahun 2011 tercatat sebanyak 365 orang. Angka tersebut sangat tidak ideal jika dibandingkan dengan jumlah penduduk Indonesia yang mencapai 240 juta jiwa. Di sisi lain, pengobatan komplementer-alternatif (PKA) mempunyai potensi digunakan oleh psikolog klinis ketika memberikan layanan kepada kliennya karena berbagai penelitian ilmiah telah menunjukkan efektivitas PKA dalam meningkatkan kesehatan mental individu. Awalnya PKA dikenal sebagai pengobatan tradisional yang penyelenggaraannya diatur oleh Menteri Kesehatan pada tahun 2003. Akan tetapi sejak tahun 2007 pengobatan tradisional diganti menjadi pengobatan komplementer-alternatif yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan derajat kesehatan masyarakat Indonesia yang meliputi upaya promotif, preventif, kuratif, dan rehabilitatif. Di Indonesia PKA bukan merupakan hal yang asing karena sudah sejak lama digunakan oleh masyarakat Indonesia. Hal tersebut contohnya dapat dilihat dari temuan fosil di Jawa yang mengindikasikan penggunaan ramuan untuk kesehatan sejak zaman mesoneolitikum. Walau demikian psikolog klinis tidak dapat memberikan PKA seorang diri karena perlu bersinergi dengan profesi kesehatan lainnya sehingga tercipta layanan kesehatan yang terintegrasi. Melalui studi literatur yang telah dilakukan, penulis akan membahas selintas tentang psikolog klinis serta memaparkan tentang pengobatan terintegrasi dan alternatif model edukasi mengenai integrasi PKA ke dalam layanan kesehatan medis konvensional sehingga penggunaan PKA di Indonesia dapat lebih optimal
