HUBUNGAN KEBERAGAMAAN DAN KESEHATAN DI INDONESIA: DATA DARI INDONESIAN FAMILY LIFE SURVEY 5

Abstract

Agama berhubungan erat dengan kehidupan manusia. Kondisi tersebut memunculkan kemungkinan adanya hubungan keberagamaan dengan berbagai aspek kehidupan manusia termasuk kesehatanbaik mental maupun fisik. Penelitian ini menguji secara empiris hubungan keberagamaan dengan kesehatan dengan kasus populasi di Indonesia. Keberagamaan dilihat dari religiusitas subjektif. Kesehatan mental dilihat dari rendahnya tingkat depresi dan tingginya kesejahteraan subjektif. Kesehatan fisik dilihat dari kemampuan melakukan aktivitas umum dan rinci keseharian. Data didapatkan dari Indonesian Family Life Survey (IFLS) 5 dengan 30.909 responden di Indonesia. Hubungan keberagamaan dengan kesehatan diuji menggunakan analisis statistik berupa korelasi product moment. Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya korelasi lemah yang signifikan (p < 0,01) antara religiusitas dengan depresi (r = -0,037), kebahagiaan dan kepuasan hidup (r = 0,130), afek positif (r = 0,085), rasa bermasalah (r = -0,058), rasa capek (r = -0,063) dengan aktivitas harian (r = 0,016), dan korelasi yang lemah dengan aktivitas harian yang rinci (r = 0,028). Hasil tersebut menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif antara religiusitas dengan kesehatan.
