Peran Moderasi Work-life Enrichment terhadap Hubungan antara Boundary Management Strategy dan Emotional Exhaustion

Abstract

Bekerja dari rumah selama COVID-19 memberikan tantangan baru bagi karyawan. Mereka harus memenuhi tuntutan pekerjaan tanpa melepaskan diri dari tuntutan keluarga karena fisik mereka berada di rumah. Kondisi tersebut membuat batasan antara pekerjaan dan keluarga menjadi semakin kabur dan diperlukan strategi yang tepat agar tuntutan dari pekerjaan dan keluarga dapat terpenuhi. Penelitian ini menguji peran work-life enrichment sebagai variabel yang memperkuat atau memperlemah dalam hubungan work-life enrichment dengan emotional exhaustion. Responden penelitian ini adalah 256 orang karyawan yang sudah menikah. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu Work-Life Boundary Enactment Scale, Work-Family Enrichment Scale, dan Oldenburg Burnout Inventory (OLBI). Partisipan berasal dari berbagai organisasi di Indonesia yang menerapkan pengaturan kerja dari rumah dan direkrut melalui platform media sosial. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan teknik regresi berganda. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat peran moderator work-life enrichment dalam hubungan boundary management strategy dengan emotional exhaustion. Strategi yang diterapkan dalam mengelola batasan peran pekerjaan terhadap keluarga berbeda dengan strategi yang terapkan dalam mengelola peran keluarga terhadap pekerjaan. Hasil temuan dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan pertimbangan bagi perusahaan untuk mengelola tingkat emosional exhaustion karyawan selama pandemi Covid-19.
