Potensi Terapi Stem Cells Jaringan Adiposa dari Limbah Sedot Lemak untuk Regenerasi Paru-Paru Pasca Terpapar COVID-19

COVID-19 merupakan penyakit menular yang disebabkan oleh virus SARS-CoV-2 yang pertama kali ditemukan di Wuhan-Tiongkok pada Desember 2019 sampai 21 September 2021 telah dilaporkan >219 juta positif dan >4,55 juta kematian. Walaupun sudah dinyatakan sembuh namun fungsi organ yang terinfeksi tidak bisa kembali optimal seperti semula. Terapi stem cells menjadi salah satu upaya yang sedang dikembangkan dan memiliki potensi untuk membantu regenerasi paru-paru penyintas COVID-19 dengan memperbaiki kerusakan sel akibat infeksi virus SARS-CoV-2. Tujuan penulisan ini adalah menjelaskan strategi mekanisme pengarahan dan optimalisasi mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) dari derivat adiposa sedot lemak untuk terapi regenerasi paru-paru pasca terpapar COVID-19. Metode penulisan penelitian ini menggunakan studi litelatur, penelusuran data dengan cara komparasi studi pustaka jurnal, artikel, e-book berbahasa Indonesia dan Inggris, dilakukan secara skrining kata kunci. MSCs diisolasi dari adiposit hasil sedot lemak, lalu disentrifugasi untuk diambil lapisan paling bawah dan dikonfirmasi secara berkala sebelum dikultur pada flask dengan medium kultur sampai tahap konfluensi dan siap dipanen untuk digunakan sebagai sumber terapi. Sebelum dilakukan injeksi MSCs pasien diberikan injeksi intramuscular sebanyak 25mg promethazine hydrochloride untuk mencegah alergi, MSCs diinjeksikan dengan interval 2 kali selang 5 hari dengan dosis standar 1x106 sel mononuklear per kilogram berat badan. Hasil CT scan yang dilakukan pada 25 pasien terapi MSCs, 16 pasien menunjukkan paru-parunya beregenerasi sehingga aman efikasi dan tidak menimbulkan efek samping, Disimpulkan bahwa terapi MSCs derivat adiposa menjadi harapan baru dalam regenerasi paru-paru pasca terpapar COVID-19.
