Obesitas Kaitannya Terhadap Kadar Asam Urat

Asam urat merupakan produksi akhir yang dikeluarkan melalui urin, tetapi lebih dari 70% dikeluarkan melalui ginjal. Seseorang dikatakan mengalami peningkatan kadar asam urat apabila kadar asam urat pada laki-laki lebih dari 7mg/dL dan pada perempuan lebih dari 6mg/dL. Salah satu faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi kadar asam urat adalah gaya hidup seperti obesitas, konsumsi purin tinggi dan asupan alkohol. Obesitas dapat terjadi akibat resistensi leptin yang mengakibatkan akumulasi jaringan lemak sehingga dapat mengganggu kesehatan. Obesitas dapat menyebabkan hiperurisemia karena kelebihan produksi dan ekskresi ginjal yang buruk. Metode penelitian ini adalah studi pustaka, studi pustaka menggunakan PubMed dan Cochrane sebagai basis data. Kata kunci yang digunakan dalam pencarian literatur adalah hiperurisemia, obesitas dan dewasa. Literatur tinjauan ini menggunakan literatur yang diterbitkan dari 2010 hingga 2020. Semua literatur yang telah diperoleh kemudian dipilih menggunakan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi yang telah ditentukan. Berdasarkan analisis dari setiap literatur yang dipilih, ditemukan bahwa obesitas dapat mempengaruhi kadar asam urat.
