Gambaran Stres dan Strategi Penyesuaian Diri Mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi Universitas X Angkatan 2020 dalam Mengikuti Perkuliahan Tatap Muka

Perkuliahan daring yang sudah genap dilaksanakan dalam kurun waktu dua tahun sebagai dampak dari pandemi COVID-19 berhasil mengalami penurunan kasus, hingga akhirnya pemerintah memutuskan untuk melaksanakan Perkuliahan Tatap Muka (PTM) kembali. Perubahan tersebut tentunya menimbulkan stres pada mahasiswa dan tuntutan penyesuaian diri dalam menghadapi rintangan PTM yang mereka alami, terkhusus mahasiswa Universitas X angkatan 2020 yang belum pernah melaksanakan perkuliahan offline sejak masuk kuliah. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan gambaran mengenai stres dan strategi koping yang dilakukan mahasiswa dalam mengikuti PTM untuk pertama kalinya. Metode yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologis. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan mewawancarai tiga mahasiswa Universitas X angkatan 2020 yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa beberapa hal yang menyebabkan stres dari partisipan selama mengikuti PTM adalah (1) masalah transportasi, (2) perubahan rutinitas, (3) terdistraksi dengan kehadiran orang lain, (4) tekanan dalam situasi sosial, (5) ketidakmampuan dalam melakukan multitasking, dan (6) dibutuhkannya energi yang lebih banyak untuk mengikuti PTM. Selain itu, peneliti juga menemukan jenis-jenis strategi koping yang dilakukan mahasiswa dalam menghadapi situasi stres akibat PTM, yaitu variasi dari problem-focused coping, emotion-focused coping, social support, religious-focused coping, dan meaning making. Hasil penelitian ini mengindikasikan perlunya perguruan tinggi untuk memperhatikan hal-hal yang berpotensi menimbulkan stres bagi mahasiswa dan memberikan dukungan yang mereka butuhkan dalam proses transisi menuju perkuliahan tatap muka, agar tetap mampu menjaga kesejahteraan psikologis mahasiswa.
