Abstract

Work readiness berperan penting bagi individu agar dapat memperoleh, menjaga dan melakukan pekerjaan dengan baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji peran perencanaan karir terhadap work readiness. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XII SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Yogyakarta yang berjumlah 190 siswa. Sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak 50 siswa yang diperoleh melalui teknik cluster random sampling. Instrument pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan skala work readiness dan skala perencanaan karir. Data penelitian dianalisis dengan teknik korelasi product moment melalui bantuan software SPSS V.19. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan karir memiliki hubungan positif dengan work readiness. Nilai r yang dihasilkan sebesar 0,297 dengan taraf Sig. 0,036. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa perencanaan karir sebagai faktor internal mampu memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan terhadap work readiness. Artinya faktor yang bersumber dari dalam diri cukup mampu mempengaruhi work readiness.
