PENGARUH PROMOSI KESEHATAN FEAR ARROUSING WARNING TERHADAP INTENSI MENGKONSUMSI FRIED CHICKEN PADA SISWA SD USIA 9-11 TAHUN

This study aims to determine the effect of fear arousing warning to the intention to consume fried chicken at elementary students ages 9-11 years. Consumption of fast food among children is rapidly increasing, researchers are interested to discuss the type of fast food fried chicken. The intention to consume fried chicken among children is quite high because the child does not know the negative effects of excessive consumption of fried chicken. Stroke Foundation of Indonesia (Yastroki) said that number of stroke patients in Indonesia increased and it also occurs in young generation, this is due to obesity and consume high dietary fat and cholesterol, such as fast food, including fried chicken. Intentions may change from time to time, because of the addition of information. Provision of information can be done through the promotion of health with fear arrousing warning (warning scary) method. This type of research is a quasi experimental. To see the effect of fear arousing warnings, researchers used a statistical analysis to gain score of intentions, average score of intentions in the experimental group (KE): -15.64 and control group (KK): 1.35, it can be concluded that there are significant effect of fear arousing method to the intention to consume fried chicken.

Abstrak.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari peringatan menakutkan terhadap intensi mengkonsumsi fried chicken pada siswa SD usia 9-11 tahun. Pengkonsumsian fast food dikalangan anak-anak semakin pesat, peneliti tertarik untuk membahas fast food berjenis fried chicken. Intensi anak dalam mengkonsumsi fried chicken cukup tinggi karena anak tidak mengetahui dampak negatif dari pengkonsumsian fried chicken yang berlebihan, seperti yang dinyatakan Yayasan Stroke Indonesia (Yastroki) terjadi peningkatan penderita stroke di Indonesia bahkan menyerang generasi muda, hal ini dikarenakan kegemukan akibat pola makan yang tinggi lemak dan kolesterol, seperti makanan cepat saji, termasuk didalamnya fried chicken. Intensi dapat berubah dari waktu ke waktu, karena adanya penambahan informasi. Pemberian informasi dapat dilakukan melalui promosi kesehatan dengan metode fear arrousing warning (peringatan menakutkan). Jenis penelitian ini ialah eksperimental kuasi. Untuk melihat pengaruh peringatan menakutkan, peneliti melakukan analisis statistik gain score intensi dan diperoleh hasil rata-rata intensi pada kelompok eksperimen (KE) : -15,64 dan kelompok kontrol (KK): 1,35, sehingga dapat disimpulkan terdapat pengaruh peringatan menakutkan terhadap intensi mengkonsumsi fried chicken.
