Peer Review Process

All submissions are initially assessed by the Chief Editor, who decides whether or not the article fits the scope of the journal and is suitable for peer review. Suitable submissions are then assigned to a section editor knowledgeable about the submission's topic. The section editor then solicits reviews from a selection of independent experts, who assess the article for clarity, validity, and sound methodology.

Review is carried out as promptly as possible. The manuscript will be reviewed by at least two referees, which takes approximately two months. The Jurnal Psikogenesis employs "double blind" reviewing, in which the referees remain anonymous to the author(s) throughout and following the refereeing process, whilst the identity of the author(s) is likewise unknown to the reviewers.

Based on the reviewer reports the section editor will make a recommendation for rejection, minor or major revisions, or acceptance. When a decision for publication or rejection is made, the author designated to receive correspondence is notified along with the recommendations made by the referees, including (if applicable) the latter's verbatim comments. At the time of notification, the author may be asked to make certain revisions in the manuscript, or the Editor may submit suggested revisions to the author for approval.

The Chief Editor's decision is final. Referees advise the Chief Editor, who is responsible for the final decision to accept or reject the article.
