Pengaruh Penggunaan Handphone Terhadap Keluhan Kelainan Refraksi pada Mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas YARSI Angkatan 2022 dan Tinjauannya Menurut Pandangan Islam

Abstract

Refraksi merupakan gangguan mata yang terjadi karena cahaya yang diterima oleh mata tidak terfokus pada retina, sehingga  gambar pada retina menjadi kabur. Refraksi dapat dipengaruhi oleh faktor usia, jenis kelamin, ras, lingkungan, dan gadget. Dua jenis kelainan refraksi yang paling banyak diderita yaitu, miopia dan astigmatisme. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui prevalensi dan apa saja keluhan kelainan refraksi pada mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas YARSI. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif dan menggunakan rancangan desain studi cross-sectional. Sampel berjumlah 75 orang berdasarkan teknik non random jenis purposive sampling. Data dianalisa secara bivariat dengan bantuan program SPSS. Hasil menunjukkan penggunaan handphone tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keluhan kelainan refraksi pada mahasiswa dan prevalensi keluhan kelainan refraksi pada mahasiswa tidak berpengaruh signifikan. Pandangan Islam terhadap pengaruh penggunaan handphone terhadap keluhan kelainan refraksi dapat diperoleh dengan tidak bersikap secara berlebihan serta menjaga kesehatan mata dan dapat diterapkan sebagai dasar kebaikan untuk menegakkan syariat Islam.

Refraction is an eye disorder that occurs because the light received by the eye is not focused on the retina, so the image on the retina becomes blurred. Refraction can be influenced by age, gender, race, environment, and gadgets. The two most common types of refractive errors are myopia and astigmatism. This study aims to determine the prevalence and what are the complaints of refractive errors in students of the Faculty of Medicine, YARSI University. This research is a type of descriptive quantitative research and uses a cross-sectional study design. The sample amounted to 75 people based on non-random purposive sampling technique. Data were analyzed bivariately with the help of the SPSS program. The results showed that the use of cellphones had no significant effect on complaints of refractive errors in students and the prevalence of complaints of refractive errors in students had no significant effect. Islamic views on the effect of cellphone use on complaints of refractive errors can be obtained by not being excessive and maintaining eye health and can be applied as a basis for goodness to uphold Islamic law.
