Hubungan antara faktor demografi dan kegemukan pada orang usia lanjut dengan penyakit hipertensi di Kabupaten Sleman

Abstract

The most frequent type of haematologic disorders in the elderly is hypertension. Complication of hypertension can be very dangerous and very fatal. District of Sleman has many old people, predicted that percentage of hypertension was high and there have been no studies about factors related to hypertension in the elderly. The design of this study was a cross sectional study with purpose to detect the relationship of each variable namely age group, sex, marital status, and obesity with hypertension in the elderly. The results showed that the prevalence of hypertension was 54,1%. Most of hypertension occured at the age group of 70 years and more, either women, unmarried people, or obese people. There was no correlation between each variable namely age group, sex, marital status and obesity in one side and hypertension on the other side
