and (b) to create a model of patent culture and patent au?areness
thraugh sucfi measures as socialization, direct sen'rce, and
incentive, Ihis research, canducted wiih normative and empirtc
method, manages to conciude (a) that, to nufture indigenous
technological capabilities, the need af academics as prospecflve
inventors for patent culture develapment includes*atfiv{tQ athers*
legal protection, partnership, training, and crganization, and (b) that
the suitable model of patent culture development is through active
counselling on intellectual rights and by providing incentives (from
the government) when the locals prccess patent certificates and
seek legal protection in running their business, E/rglble inventions
